Thinking Christmas

So I just discovered a new site yesterday. Actually I kinda feel like I've been there before a while back. But I got a sweet email inviting me to check out their mega contest going on right now. So. I will be posting a bunch about Christmas for a while. They {MomDot...I should at least tell you the site, eh?} have Christmassy questions each day and you can earn points for each time you answer on your blog and comment on others for over $1000 worth of prizes. Pretty cool! So you should check it out, too. Their site kind of confuses me, but I'm slowly navigating around over there.

So for the big prize, I'll fill you in on my dream Christmas. I've never really thought about this before. And I'm bad at decisions. I would like plenty of time off of work {or at least half days?} so I could actually decorate my home and bake yummy winter treats. Oh, and someone to shovel my driveway all winter! That'd be awesome! I would spend gobs of time with my favorite guys. We'd hang out and go shopping for our families {cuz we'd have moolah for things of that sort}.

I don't really have too much else. I don't have anything I need. Yeah, I have wants, but getting those won't make or break my Christmas. I'm more about chillin' with my homeboys. {Stuff is just an added bonus!}

I was 4. We had just moved to a new neighborhood, so it was my first time trick or treating there. There was one house on our cul-de-sac with a very long driveway. I walked down the driveway and rang the doorbell. There was a witch sitting on the porch and she started talking to me. "Hello my pretty!" It scared me so bad I took off down the driveway to my parents {forget the candy, I wanted out!}. I knew her and she felt bad, so she started chasing me yelling, "Caitie, it's me! It's just me!" Which of course didn't help. I had a witch chasing me down the driveway. I think I avoided that house every year after.

So I've been getting an earful for not updating lately... Here ya go dear! (Did you like my first link, Mandi? I thought it was funny!) I don't really feel like I have too much to say.

I was up late finishing up a couple orders. I'm completely caught up and love that feeling! I printed a Maker t, 2 Grandma t's, and 2 Grandpa t's. They all came out perfectly! I'm so excited for the gma/gpa shirts. They're for a dear friend (who shall remain linkless) who is announcing her little baby news with them. :) Love it.

I'm anxiously awaiting my new shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (yes, I caved!). OH! I won a lovely purse yesterday! I didn't even enter on purpose. I signed up for the mailing list at Running with Heels a month or two ago. They were having a giveaway for Born shoes and my hubby has uber foot pain, so I thought it'd be cool if I won for him. I didn't win, but stayed on her list cuz that's how she picks winners. Yesterday I got an email saying I'd won a purse. Not just any purse...a lavender and orange leather clutch.

Gorgeous! I'm not so sure where I'll use it. I'm not a huge fashion lady. Well, not expensive fashion! I think she's pretty. I should totally name her. There's something to ponder...

Anyhoo, I'm off to find some lunch. Does Ramen ever sound super good to you? I'm having a noodle bowl and am ever so excited about it! (I'll say it first. I'm a nerd. Big time.)

all in a days work

I've been coming across a lot of giveaways lately. It's pretty cool. Bet you guys like it too, eh? (I think I should move to Canada, I'm diggin' the "eh" lately.) Yesterday I saw that Grosgrain had another adorable dress to give away. I really do wish she made little boy stuff (3T, ok?) because it's all so freaking adorable! I also rediscovered a fun blog of a Canadian momma and Pastor's wife. She is always reviewing products (like this one of mine) and having scads of contests. I just entered to win my Ki some adorable shoes from See Kai Run. Fitting, right? I think I should totally win because of the name thing. They're not too expensive though. Not for all the time, but special occasion shoes. The ones I saw were in the $30's.

Belly Shots!

No, I'm not preggo! I've been trying to get a good belly to re-take my product photos. Here's some behind the scenes scoop for you! I've tried a deflated ball, a deflated beach ball, pillows, blankets, batting, the list goes on. Well, Becky over @ DiscoBelly gave me a tip a while back that I decided to try. A leotard. I know, I know. SO not cool. Anyhoo, I ordered one with my last shirt order and it arrived on Saturday. So of course I had to test it out this weekend. I put it on and filled it with one of Ki's blankets and there it was! That perfect little baby belly! I even had a lot of friends fooled into thinking I was genuinely pregnant, so it must not look too bad. I think I'll go a bit bigger next time.

Here is a pic of the Lola Maternity tee that you can enter to win below. I normally wear a size medium, but tried the small because that's what I'd printed. It fit ok, but notice the belly isn't full term! So I'd still go with your normal shirt size. (Notice how long it is? I love it!)

Sling Love!

I just discovered a really awesome sling. It's made by ModMum. Such adorable, funky prints, too! My favorite is the Chloe print. Love it. It would be so nice to wear my little man. He's been clingy lately and wanting to be held a lot. Plus, when we do have another baby, Ki is so active I will need to strap #2 on just to keep up!


I attempted to make a sling after Ki was born, but that didn't work too well. I want to babywear, but have never had the gear.
